On October 25, 2024, the SPM² consortium took a major first step toward shaping the future of sustainable project management by holding its Virtual Pre-Kick Off Meeting via Google Meet. Organized by the University of Novi Sad, the meeting brought together 13 participants from six partner organizations across Serbia, Poland, Greece, Belgium, and Latvia.
The two-hour session laid the groundwork for the official launch of the Erasmus+-funded project “Sustainable Project Management through PM²,” aligning partners on strategic goals, timelines, and governance structures. Discussions focused on:
Finalizing the Consortium Agreement and initial funding processes
Introducing the project’s management system and scheduling monthly status meetings
Planning the in-person Kick-Off Meeting in Novi Sad (December 10–11, 2024)
Launching key deliverables including stakeholder mapping, needs analysis, and the dissemination strategy
With strong engagement from academic, NGO, and professional association representatives, the meeting showcased a shared commitment to integrating sustainability into the PM² methodology and higher education curricula.
The European Academy was also tasked with developing the project’s website, which will serve as a central hub for communication and resource sharing.
This productive virtual session marked a confident start to the SPM² journey — one grounded in collaboration, expertise, and a shared vision for a more sustainable future in project management.
