On 30 January 2025, the Sustainable Project Management through PM² (SPM²) project was presented at the Workshop on Research and Innovation in Western Greece, held in Patras and organized by the Region of Western Greece. The event served as a platform to inform businesses, universities, and research institutions about funding opportunities under the Operational Programme “Western Greece 2021–2027,” while emphasizing collaboration and innovation across strategic sectors.

SPM² Key Contributions:

  • Introduced the SPM² initiative to regional stakeholders in research, academia, and industry

  • Positioned SPM² as a strategic tool to integrate sustainability into project management education

  • Promoted upcoming project outputs, including the SPM² Guide, Digital Hub, and micro-credentials

  • Facilitated discussions on sustainability in regional innovation strategies and EU project implementation

The project’s emphasis on structured, policy-aligned training resonated strongly with participants from the Agri-food, Tourism, Digital Technologies, and Environmental sectors.

The event boosted the project’s regional visibility and laid the foundation for future adoption of the SPM² methodology in Western Greece. Dissemination materials and project links were shared directly with attendees.
