Event Objectives
The GR digiGOV-innoHUB Weekly Governance Forum is a recurring digital event series dedicated to fostering cross-sector dialogue on innovation, interoperability, and transformation in public administration. It brings together public sector stakeholders, academic institutions, SMEs, and civil society actors to share projects, technologies, and practices that advance digital governance.
PM² Alliance, in collaboration with European Academy and PM² EU, participated in the 26 November 2025 edition of the forum to present the SPM² – Sustainable Project Management through PM² project. The objective of PM² Alliance’s intervention was to showcase the project’s role in aligning the PM² Methodology with the sustainability priorities of the EU, and to introduce its training, certification, and capacity-building components.
Event Description
PM² Alliance’s presentation focused on how SPM² builds upon the PM² Methodology to address the pressing need for sustainability integration within project management education and practice. As sustainability becomes central to EU funding, infrastructure, and policy implementation, SPM² offers a structured pathway for professionals and institutions to align their project work with green and social impact objectives. Participant Profile
The session was attended by approximately 70 participants, comprising:
- Public sector professionals from ministries, agencies, and digital transformation units
- Academics and training providers from HEIs and VET organisations

- Representatives of SMEs, research institutions, and EU-funded initiatives
The audience represented key stakeholder groups targeted by SPM², particularly in the context of public governance, education modernisation, and sustainability-driven workforce development.
Feedback and Observations
The presentation of the SPM² project was well-received, especially among participants involved in public project implementation and training. Several attendees expressed interest in:
- The development of a standardised, sustainability-focused project management curriculum
- The use of SPM² micro-credentials to support institutional training and continuous professional development
- The project’s efforts to promote a practical, methodology-based approach for embedding sustainability into real-world project environments
Follow-up discussions focused on how public institutions and training bodies could engage with the project and integrate its tools into their work.
