SPM² Community Engagement Platform Launched
The SPM² project has launched a Community Engagement Platform, creating a dedicated space for project professionals, educators, researchers, students, trainers and sustainability practitioners to connect, learn and contribute to the future of sustainable project management.
The platform has been developed to support the long-term uptake and practical application of SPM² – Sustainable Project Management through PM². Building on the European Commission’s PM² methodology, SPM² explores how sustainability can be embedded more systematically into project management education and practice, helping project teams consider environmental, social and governance dimensions alongside traditional project objectives.
The new community platform brings the project’s results, learning opportunities and stakeholder engagement activities into one shared environment.
Through the platform, members can access the SPM² Guide, practical artefacts, learning resources, project materials and examples, while also participating in webinars and expert discussions.
The community has also been designed as a space for exchange and co-creation. Members are encouraged to share experience, suggest discussion topics, contribute practical cases and provide feedback that can support the continuing development and application of SPM².
From Project Results to Practical Application
A central objective of the SPM² Community is to ensure that the work developed through the project continues to create value beyond the formal project period.
Rather than functioning only as a repository of project outputs, the platform provides a space where knowledge can be discussed, tested and connected with real project-management challenges.
Community activities will address themes such as:
The platform is open to project and programme professionals, PM² practitioners and trainers, sustainability and ESG professionals, educators, researchers, students, higher education institutions, VET providers, public authorities and organisations involved in EU-funded projects.
No previous experience with SPM² is required.
Join the SPM² Community
By joining the community, participants can follow upcoming activities, access practical project resources, connect with peers and contribute to a growing European network working to turn sustainability principles into better project decisions, stronger governance and lasting value.
