On April 1, 2025, the SPM² project was featured in an expert guest lecture at the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (NTUU KPI), Ukraine, as part of the Jean Monnet Module “European Sustainable Competitiveness for Economic Resilience and Growth” (ESC4ERG). Delivered online, the session attracted over 60 participants from various countries, representing academia, research, and professional practice.
The lecture, titled “Sustainability Integration in the Twin Green & Digital Transition,” explored how sustainable project management can support Europe’s transition to a competitive, green, and resilient economy.
Key Contributions from SPM²:
The SPM² methodology was presented as a model for embedding sustainability competencies into project management education.
Attendees were introduced to tools like Importance–Performance Analysis (IPA) and the Competency Inefficiency Index (CII) to assess sustainability-related skill gaps.
The session demonstrated how project managers can lead sustainable transformation by applying data-driven approaches to curriculum design.
Outputs from the SPM² international survey were shared, offering insight into competence gaps across the project lifecycle and EU project contexts.
The presentation aligned closely with the EU’s Green Deal, Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, and Interreg priorities—showing how academic innovation and professional upskilling can support policy goals.
Impact & Reception:
Participants praised the practical, research-based insights of the SPM² project. Interest was expressed in future collaboration, including curriculum co-development and joint research on sustainability and project-based learning.
The event was promoted by Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the ESC4ERG team across institutional and social media platforms, contributing to SPM²’s growing visibility as a transformative initiative in sustainable project management.
